Amr Shafik received his Master's in Civil Engineering from Cairo University in 2020 and is now pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering. He worked as a Research Assistant at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (2021–2025). His research topics mainly include traffic flow theory, traffic signal control, vehicle trajectory optimization, and CAVs.
