Author Biographies

Dr. Anastasios Pappas is the head of the Research Department at the Hellenic Fiscal Council and an Adjunct Professor of Economics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of the Aegean (awarded with a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation—IKY), an MSc in International Banking and Financial Studies from the University of Southampton (UK), and a PhD in International Macroeconomics from the University of the Aegean. Dr. Pappas has taught various courses, including Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Political Economy, and Business Economics, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of the Aegean and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Additionally, he has worked as an economist, credit analyst, and consultant in various positions within the private and public sectors in Greece. His research interests include Macroeconomic, Fiscal and Monetary Policy, Economic Forecasting, Financial Crises, and Capital Mobility. His research has been presented at international academic conferences and published in peer-reviewed international academic journals.
Dr. Nikolaos Boukas holds a PhD in Management Studies from the University of Exeter, UK. He is currently a Professor of Tourism Marketing and the Director of the Center for Sustainable Management of Tourism, Sport & Events (CESMATSE) of the European University Cyprus. His research interests are focused on tourism marketing, tourism policy, sustainable growth, sustainable tourism, island tourism, cultural heritage tourism, and youth tourism.
