Mariangela Rondanelli completed her Ph.D. studies in Medical
Pathophysiology and Therapy (cycle XV) at the University of Pavia. She has been
an Associate Professor in "Applied Dietary Sciences and Techniques"
(Disciplinary Scientific Sector MED 49) at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery
of the University of Pavia, Department of Public Health, Neuroscience and
Experimental and Forensic Medicine, Section of Food Science and Human Nutrition,
and affiliated with the Personal Services Company (ASP), Pavia Institutions,
Geriatric University Center, with the qualification of Director of the complex
metabolic-oriented rehabilitation facility, since 1 June 2007. In December 2017,
she qualified as a Full Professor in "Applied Dietary Sciences and
Techniques" (Scientific Disciplinary Sector MED 49). She has been a Director of
the School of Specialization in Food Science of the University of Pavia since
January 2018. Her specializations include endocrinology and replacement
diseases, food science, hygiene, and preventive medicine.
Dr. Simone Perna is an Assistant Professor at the University
of Milano and authored more than 200 scientific papers with an h-index of 32
(Scopus, 17 October 2023), and more than 300 abstracts as conference
proceedings. He co-authored six book chapters. He has almost 10 years of teaching
experience in human nutrition at the university level. He was a postdoctoral
fellow at the University of Pavia, Italy until 2017. Currently, he works on
several works of research on muscle-skeletal and metabolic disorders and various
bioactives and (poly)phenols.
