Prof. Dr. Chulhwan Park received his B.S. (1997) and M.S. (1999) in Chemical Engineering from Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He obtained his Ph.D. (2003) in Chemical Engineering from Korea University and carried out postdoctoral research (2003–2004) in Chemical
Engineering at University of Cambridge, UK. He started his independent position in 2005 as a senior researcher (2005–2007) in Environment Energy Division at Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH). He was a visiting professor (2015–2016) in Bioengineering at University of California, USA. Since 2007 he has worked as a professor of Chemical Engineering at Kwangwoon University. He is Director of Institute of Startup Package Business, and Director of Advanced Institute of Convergence Technology since 2023. He has published 275 peer-reviewed articles and has been an inventor on 51 patent applications. His research interests focus on the biorefinery and bioprocess design for the production of biochemical and biofuels in the field of industrial biotechnology.
