Taskyn currently serves as a Senior Engineer at the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development, CNPC, where he is deeply involved in the research and development of gas injection technology for oil and gas fields within the Artificial Intelligence Research Center. He earned his Ph.D. in Petroleum Geology from the School of Earth and Space Sciences at Peking University, one of China's most esteemed institutions, graduating in 2019.His current research direction focuses on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) and enhanced hydrocarbon recovery through gas injection (CO2) from low-permeability oil reservoirs. Taskyn has been recognized for his significant contributions to the field with several awards, including provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress Awards.He has led multiple projects to apply recovery methods for oil in low carbonate and sandstone reservoirs. Moreover, since completing his Ph.D., he has been actively involved in CO2 sequestration projects, focusing on the experimental study of CO2 sequestration mechanisms in geological formations. Recently, he has applied data analytics for optimizing processes in the oil and gas industry, including petrophysical rock typing, CO2 sequestration, and production optimization.
