Assoc. Professor Ing. Marek Šolc, PhD. (year of birth: 1976) studied Industrial Management Engineering at the Technical University of Kosice. Since 2003, he has been employed as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Materials and Quality Engineering, Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling. In 2003, he received a doctorate in the field of Metallurgy. In 2014, he received the title of Associate Professor in the field of quality of production. His scientific research activities cover the areas of quality production and management systems, especially safety management systems and project management. He also deals with the issue of reliability and safety systems and the management of hazardous operations.

Štefan Markulik is an Associate Professor in the Department of Safety and Quality Production. He is also a manager at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and an internal auditor for quality management systems (QMS). His scientific and professional activities are focused on lecturing, publishing, and participating in national and international scientific conferences. He has experience with several research projects and cooperation with the industry. He actively provides professional lectures and helps to create cooperation between students and enterprises. His main focus is the implementation of management systems in enterprises.

Tomasz Małysa, Ph.D. Eng., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Production Engineering at the Faculty of Materials Science of the Silesian University of Technology. His scientific and research interests focus on the possibility of adapting econometric models in the field of forecasting accidents at work, occupational diseases, technical safety at work, the safe usage of machines, and occupational risk management.
