Wen-Yee Lee is a Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The University of Texas at El Paso. She holds a B.A. in Chemistry from the National Taiwan Normal University, obtained in 1985, as well as an M.S. in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso, obtained in 1995 and 2000, respectively. She undertook her postdoctoral research at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station until 2002 before joining the Department of Chemistry in 2003. Her research is focused on analyzing organic pollutants and their impacts on the environment and human health, as well as on studying organic metabolites in urine for cancer diagnosis.
