Sergio Leal Braga is an associate professor at PUC-Rio, where he completed his PhD in 1985. In 1988 and 1989, he worked as a visiting researcher at Purdue University. He has scientific cooperation agreements with institutions in Germany, Argentina, France, Italy, and Peru. Since the beginning of his career, he has worked in the energy field, having supervised more than 120 students in Master’s Dissertations, Doctoral Theses, Post-Doctorates, and undergraduate final projects. He is the current Director of the Technological Institute, responsible for the Vehicle Engineering Laboratory, and a Member of the Executive Committee of the Energy Institute at PUC-Rio. He recently completed the CDEV—Center for Development in Energy and Vehicles, where research is carried out in renewable energies, such as
biofuels, hydrogen, solar, and others. He is a Scientist of Our State by FAPERJ and a Member of the National Academy of Engineering.
