Mika Rantonen, Lic. Tech, is Principal lecturer of Artificial Intelligence and Data analytics, Head of the Master's Degree Programme, Project manager in several AI- and DA-based Research and development projects in JAMK University of Applied Sciences. Prior to his current positions, he was acting as a Software Architect in Nokia Mobile Phones and Reesearch Scientist in VTT Technical Reseach Centre of Finland. He received his MS in Mathematic from the University of Oulu in 2000 and his Licentiate of Technology degree in System Engineering from the University of Oulu in 2008. He has been working in the international and domestics research and development projects in various roles and has managed multiple projects in different domains. He has an extensive knowledge of different funding programs. His current research interests include artificial intelligence, data analytics, big data, machine learning, and deep learning.
