Amal Albalooshy is an assistant professor and consultant in Pediatric Dentistry at Taif University, Saudi Arabia. She holds a PhD (2021) and MSc (2017) in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Leeds, UK, where she also completed specialist training in Pediatric Dentistry (2017) and Dental Sedation (2015). Her foundational education includes a BDS (Hons) (2010) and an internship certificate from King Abdulaziz University, KSA (2011). Albalooshy has received several awards, including a Recognition Certificate from Wiley Library for Top Cited Articles (2023) and first place for her research presentation at an international conference in San Diego (2018). She is registered with the Saudi Commission for Health Science (11JD0049831) and is a member of various professional organizations. Her professional development includes a Research Bioethics course in 2024 and training in qualitative research (2018-2019). Currently, she serves as an assistant professor (2022-present), and has previous experience as a teaching assistant and general dentist in military hospitals (2012-2013) and internships in Jeddah hospitals (2010-2011).
Dr Abdulaziz Alharbi received a BDS at King Abdulaziz University and an MDent from Wits University in South Africa in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2019, and is now working as an assistant professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Taif University (2019 to present).
Ali Alqarni earned a BDS (bachelor of Dental Surgery and Medicine) from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and a PhD in Immunology and Oral Medicine from the Dental Institute, King's College London, in 2022. He is currently an assistant professor in Immunology and Oral Medicine at the Faculty of Dentistry, Taif University, Taif, Saudi Arabia. His work in dentistry has resulted in numerous publications, presentations, lectures, and courses. His research interests include mucosal immunology, oral epidemiology, oral medicine, oral cancer, and AI in healthcare.
