Mohammad Sadegh Sadeghi Googheri holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry with a specialization in theoretical and computational biophysics. His research centers on using molecular dynamics simulations to explore enzyme behavior, with a particular focus on enzyme–inhibitor interactions and enzyme activity within ionic liquid media.
Davide Campagnol, received his Ph.D. in science and technology of bio and nanomaterials from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy). He is currently working as a post-doc researcher at the University of A
Coruña. Always interested in the research between the edge of the bio-world and the material interaction, he started his career studying biomaterials development, moving onto mechanosensing between cells and topology surfaces and finally landing his interests in electrochemistry and sensors development. His research interests lie in the field of advanced biosensing techniques based on graphene nanostructured surfaces.
Paolo Ugo Professor of Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry at Ca’ Foscari University Venice (Italy). He coordinated several research projects on topics concerning Electrochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Sensors, collaborating actively with several research institutions all over the world. Prof. Ugo co-authored over 160 peer-reviewed scientific articles dealing with electrochemistry, biosensors, chemical sensors, environmental and food analysis, cultural heritage diagnostics, and related topics. At the end of 2019, he retired; presently, he is continuing his collaboration with Ca’ Foscari as an honorary Senior Researcher.
Samira Hozhabr Araghi received her Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. Her doctoral research focused on the synthesis of functionalized nanocomposites for water treatment and the design of their surface using computational chemistry. She was awarded a Fondecyt postdoctoral fellowship for international investigators at the University of Talca, Chile, where she further developed her research on enzyme immobilization on nanocomposites and investigated enzyme behavior in the presence of ionic liquids through molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. She is now researching at the University of Talca and her research interests include nanocomposite synthesis, enzyme immobilization, computational chemistry, and the study of enzyme interactions with ionic liquids.
Najmeh Karimian, a Research Fellow, has a Ph.D. in Analytical chemistry. During her Ph.D. studies, she joined the “Biosensors and Bioelectronics Centre” at Linköping University in Sweden, where her work was focused on the development of chemo/bio sensors based on molecularly imprinted polymers. To date, she has spent the majority of her career at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy, where she developed research on the fabrication, modification, and evaluation of nano-electrodes using various materials including polymers and carbon nanomaterials, for sensing platforms. Her research interests lie in the area of development of electrochemical chemo/bio-sensors for environmental, clinical, and food analysis.
