Joanne Lopes received her MD from the Medical Faculty of Porto, Portugal. She was a Specialist in Anatomic Pathology, Hospital S. João, Porto, Portugal and Board of the Portuguese Medical Association. She is currently a Consultant in Pathology at the Department of Pathology, Hospital S. João, Porto, and an Investigator, IPATIMUP. She also is a Representative of the Department of Pathology in the multidisciplinary oncologic groups (colon & rectum, liver and pancreas), and Collaborator of the Tumor Bank (Hospital S.João/IPATIMUP). Her research interests include Gastrointestinal pathology with emphasis on digestive cancers, namely colorectal, pancreatic and liver cancer.
Claudia Silva received her BS in Biochemistry (2013) from the CESPU and MSc in Applied Biochemistry (2015) from the University of Minho. She completed her PhD study in Metabolism—Clinical and Experimental from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) in 2022. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at LAQV/REQUIMTE. She has published 28 ISI original papers and reviews and 1 book chapter, most in top journals (Q1). She also presented her work in more than 50 national and international scientific meetings. Her research interests include Biological Sciences (Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Reproductive Biology and Microbiology) and Health Sciences (Pharmacology, Toxicology, Nutrition, Dietetics, Oncology, Endocrinology and Metabolism) and food biotechnology.
