Sung-Ae Cho, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Konyang University Hospital, Konyang University College of Medicine, Daejeon, Republic of Korea.Dr. Cho earned her medical degree and master's degree in anesthesiology from Konyang University College of Medicine. She completed her residency training in anesthesiology at Konyang University Hospital and pursued further specialization in pediatric anesthesia as a Clinical Fellow at Seoul National University Hospital.Her clinical expertise includes general surgery anesthesia and pediatric anesthesia. She is actively involved in academic societies and currently serves as a member of the Patient Safety Committee of the Korean Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Cho is also a member of the Academic Committee of the Korean Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, and a regular member of the Korean Society of Regional Anesthesia, the Korean Society of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia, and the Korean Society of Pediatric Anesthesia.Dr. Cho is dedicated to advancing safe and effective anesthesia practices for diverse patient populations, with a focus on pediatric and general surgery patients.
Woojin Kwon, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Konyang University Hospital, Konyang University College of Medicine, Daejeon, Republic of Korea. He earned his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in medicine from Chungnam National University and is a certified echocardiographer accredited by the Korean Society of Echocardiography.Dr. Kwon previously served as a Clinical Associate Professor and Clinical Instructor at Daejeon St. Mary’s Hospital. He completed his residency training in anesthesiology at Chungnam National University Hospital. His expertise includes regional anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia, and outpatient anesthesia.He is actively involved in academic and professional societies. He is a member of the Korean Society of Anesthesiologists’ Examination Committee, Secretary of the External Cooperation Committee, and a member of the ACDM (Anesthesia Common Data Model) Task Force Team. Dr. Kwon is also a member of the Korean Society of Ambulatory Anesthesia, the Korean Society of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia, and the Korean Society of Regional Anesthesia. Internationally, he is a member of both the American and European Societies of Regional Anesthesia. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and the Korean Journal of Anesthesiology.
Hongwook Kim, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at Konyang University Hospital, Konyang University College of Medicine, Daejeon, Republic of Korea.Dr. Kim specializes in robotic surgery, voiding dysfunction, urolithiasis, prostate diseases, and urological oncology. He earned his medical degrees and PhD from Konyang University and Chungnam National University, completing a robust academic foundation in urology.Dr. Kim has extensive professional experience, including serving as a Clinical Fellow and Clinical Assistant Professor at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University. Currently, he is the Director of the Department of Urology at Konyang University Hospital and also holds the position of Education Director at Konyang University College of Medicine.With a focus on advancing techniques in minimally invasive urological surgery and improving outcomes for patients with complex urological conditions, Dr. Kim is committed to excellence in clinical practice, research, and education.
Tae-Yun Sung, MD, PhD. is a Professor in Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Konyang University Hospital, Konyang University College of Medicine, Daejeon, Republic of Korea. He graduated medical school from Konkuk University and completed anesthesiology residency program at Konkuk University Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. He subsequently completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia at the same center. He is currently a member of Korean Society of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesiologists, Korean Society of Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care, Korean Society of Geriatric Anesthesia and Pain and Korean Neuromuscular Research Society. His area of interests includes airway management, geriatric anesthesia, prevention of postoperative complications (e.g., sore throat, emergence agitation, catheter-related bladder discomfort, hypothermia), and neuromuscular research.
