Dr. Anil Kumar Meher is a Researcher in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Minnesota and also a Senior Analytical Chemist at PureBioX, Saint Paul, MN .He earned his BS degree in Biochemistry, Genetics, and Biotechnology from Garden City College, Bangalore University, in 2007, completed his MS in Applied Chemistry at Kuvempu University in 2011, and obtained his PhD in Applied Chemistry from the National Chiao Tung University in 2016. His research interests encompass the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), the development of assay kits for pathogen detection, and the designing and validation of advanced analytical methods. These include mass spectrometry, ionization techniques, Raman spectroscopy, and broader applications in analytical chemistry.
Akli Zarouri holds Master’s degrees in Biotechnology (2007) and Industrial Engineering (2014) from the University of Lille. Since 2018, he has been a researcher at the University of Minnesota while simultaneously pursuing a PhD in Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering at its Twin Cities campus. His research interests include biosensors, bionanotechnology, development of kits for collecting and purifying environmental DNA, coronavirus RNA extraction, and LAMP diagnostic assays for identifying plant pathogens such as Phytophthora, Heterobasidion, and Bretziella.
