Dr. Khalid Almeman is the CEO of the Applied College at Qassim University and a researcher specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP). He completed his PhD studies in NLP at the University of Birmingham in 2015, focusing on speech recognition and text analysis. His work includes designing and building speech and text corpora for Arabic and its dialects, as well as developing dictionaries utilized by over 60 researchers globally. He has published extensively and serves as a peer reviewer for academic societies. His research interests include speech recognition, text analysis, corpus design, and exploring the Metaverse and its potential applications in AI.
Dr. Faycel EL Ayeb received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National School of Computer Sciences (ENSI), University of Manouba, Tunisia, in 2012. Since 2005, he has been affiliated with the CRISTAL Laboratory, GRIFT Research Group, Tunisia. In 2016, he joined the Higher Institute of Arts and Multimedia of Manouba (ISAMM), Tunisia, as an Assistant Professor. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Applied College at Qassim University, Saudi Arabia. He is also a member of the Unit of Scientific Research at the Applied College. His research interests mainly include artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, computer vision, and the Metaverse.
Dr. Mouhebeddine Berrima received his Engineer and M.S degrees from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, University of Tunis El-Manar, Tunisia, in 2005 and 2006, respectively. He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from the same university. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Qassim University, Saudi Arabia. He is also a member of the LIPSIC Research Laboratory, University of Tunis El-Manar, and the Unit of Scientific Research, Applied College, Qassim University. His research interests include formal modeling and analysis, security protocols, cloud computing, and the Metaverse.
Dr. Brahim Issaoui earned a Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, with a specialty in decision-making information systems, from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, University of Tunis El-Manar, Tunisia, in 2012, and a PhD in Computer Sciences from the National School of Computer Science (ENSI), University of Manouba, Tunisia, in 2019, through a joint supervision program with INSA Lyon and Jean Monnet University, Saint-Etienne, at the SOIE, DISP, and Hubert Curien laboratories. He is also a member of the Unit of Scientific Research at the Applied College. He is currently an Assistant Professor and the Head of the Programming and Computer Science Department at the Applied College, Qassim University, Saudi Arabia, while also being affiliated with the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Gafsa, Tunisia. His work in the fields of combinatorial optimization, metaheuristics, multi-agent systems, and machine learning has led to numerous publications in reputable journals. his research interests encompass public services, operation management, home healthcare, transport on demand, Metaverse applications, and districting and redistricting problems.
Dr. Hamdy Morsy received his Master’s degree in Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, USA, in 2002, and his PhD from Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2012. He is now an Assistant Professor at the Applied College, Qassim University, Saudi Arabia, and is affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Department, Helwan University, Egypt. His research topics mainly include artificial intelligence, the Metaverse, and deep learning.
