Gwonsoo Lee received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Chungnam National University in 2020. He completed the integrated Master’s–Ph.D. program in Mechatronics Engineering at Chungnam National University in August 2023. Since September 2023, he has been working as a Research Engineer at the Research Institute of Future Mobility System of Chungnam National University. His research interests include localization, navigation, autonomous underwater vehicles, underwater robotics, mobile robots, and sonar.
Sukmin Yoon received his Bachelor’s degree in Intelligent Machinery Engineering from Pukyong National University in 2006, his Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Pukyong National University in 2008, and his Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering from Pukyong National University in 2016. Since 2020, he has been working at Hanwha Systems. His research interests include integrated unmanned marine systems, underwater environment perception, and manned–unmanned teaming.
Yeongjun Lee received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Chungnam National University in 2009, his Master’s degree from the same university in 2014, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. program at the same institution since 2020. Since 2011, he has been working as a Senior Engineer at the Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering. His research interests include sonar image-based object recognition and navigation, as well as autonomous technologies for marine systems.
Jihong Lee received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Seoul National University in 1983, his Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from KAIST in 1985, and his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from KAIST in 1991. Since 1994, he has been a Professor in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering of Chungnam National University. His research interests include localization, underwater robotics, dual-arm robots, and off-road mobile robots.
