Prof. Guoliang Dai is a professor at the Southeast University and a Dean of the Civil and Municipal Design Institute of Southeast University Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. From August to September 2016, he went to the University of Western Australia, School of Civil Engineering and from 2010 to 2011, he went to Purdue University, School of Civil Engineering, as a visiting scholar. He is a leading talent in scientific and technological innovation under the national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", a recipient of the second prize for national technological invention, a national first-class registered structural engineer, and one of the six peak talents in Jiangsu Province, etc. He has long been engaged in teaching and research work in deep foundation pits, deep foundations, and other fields, including deformation analysis and control of ultra-deep foundation pits, self-balancing testing technology and application of ultra-large tonnage foundation bearing capacity, grouting technology and application of pile foundation bearing performance improvement, optimization and design of deep water foundation bearing performance in bridge and wind power fields, and research on new foundation bearing characteristics and applications.
