Prof. Dr. Hans-Werner Olfs is a full professor of Plant Nutrition and Crop Production at the Department of Plant Production, University of Applied Sciences, Osnabrueck, Germany. He studied Agricultural Sciences and obtained his Ph.D. from Bonn University (Germany). As a postdoc, he has coordinated several R&D projects related to N turnover in the soil-plant system. From 1996 to 2005, he worked as a senior scientist at a fertilizer industry-based R&D Centre. He also serves as the associated editor for the Journal for Plant Nutrition and Soil Science. In addition, Prof. Dr. Hans-Werner Olfs is a member of the International Fertiliser Society, the German Soil Science Society (DBG), and the German Society of Plant Nutrition (DGP).
