Dr. Tamer Gado earned his BSc in Civil
Engineering from Tanta University, Egypt, in 1997 and his PhD in Civil
Engineering from McGill University, Canada, in 2013. He currently serves as a
Professor of Hydrology and the Head of the Department of Irrigation and
Hydraulics Engineering at Tanta University. His research focuses on a range of
topics, including statistical analysis in hydrology, the impacts of climate
change on extreme hydrologic events (e.g., extreme rainfalls and floods),
satellite-based precipitation estimates, and desalination technologies for
irrigation purposes.
