Prof. Dr. Gan Cheng obtained his Ph.D. in Mineral Processing Engineering from the China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) in 2014. He has been working at the Institute of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Shanxi University since 2024 and is currently an associate professor and master’s supervisor. He is mainly engaged in the comprehensive utilization of low-quality coal (mineral resources). He is also a young backbone teacher in Henan Province’s colleges and universities, an outstanding youth of Henan Polytechnic University, a member of the Clean and Efficient Coal Utilization Committee of Shanxi Coal Society, a member of the Expert Committee of Henan Science and Technology Innovation Promotion Association, a young and middle-aged editorial board member of the International Journal of Mining Science and Technology, a young expert of Chemical Minerals and Processing, a young editorial board member of Clean Coal Technology, and a member of the Academic Committee of Young and Middle-aged Experts of Coal Preparation Technology.
Dr. George Blankson Abaka-Wood is a Research Fellow and Process Metallurgist at the Future Industries Institute of the University of South Australia. He holds a BSc. in Mineral Engineering and a Ph.D. in Minerals and Resources Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology (Ghana) and the University of South Australia, respectively. Since 2015, he has demonstrated highly specialized skills and expertise in research and innovative metallurgical studies geared towards the recovery of critical minerals such as rare earth elements (REE) that occur in complex deposits. In addition, he is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM).
Prof. Dr. Enze Li is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Shanxi University. He graduated with a doctorate from the Institute of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Shanxi University in December 2017 and then stayed at the university to work. In 2016, he was funded by the Shanxi Province Study Abroad Fund to visit the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, University of Utah, USA, for a year of joint doctoral training in the research group of the Academician Jan D. Miller. He is mainly engaged in researching the controlled extraction of valuable elements from salt lake brine and interface separation engineering.
