Dr. Xiaolin Dong is an associate professor at the College of Agriculture, Yangtze University. He received a BS from Hubei Agricultural University in 2001, an MS from South China Agricultural University in 2008, and a PhD from Sun Yat-Sen University in 2011. He completed his postdoctoral research at South China Agricultural University (2011-2013). From 2018 to 2019, he worked as a senior visiting scholar at the University of California, Riverside. His research interests include the recognition mechanism of pests on host plants, including the molecular mechanism of Spodoptera litura recognition of host plants, the analysis of the crystal structure of its chemosensory proteins, and the screening of its aptamers.
Dr. Chenxi Liu is an associate professor at the Institute of Plant Protection, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in entomology from China Agricultural University (CAU). He earned his PhD from CAU in 2007. He serves as a member of the Academic Committee of the International Barcode of Life (iBOL). Dr. Liu’s current research interests include the development of biological control agents for insect pest management, the biochemistry and physiology of beneficial insects, and the DNA barcoding-based biodiversity of insect pests and their natural enemies.
