Vito Antonio Nardi received both his BSc and MSc in Telecommunication Engineering at the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria, where he received his PhD in Information Engineering. He currently is a research fellow at Mediterranea, and his main interests include control of networked systems and the fault detection and isolation of duplex systems.
Marianna Lanza is a PhD student at NEXTLab at the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome. With a background in Cognitive Neuroscience, she moved to AI research, focusing on decoding bioelectrical signals, in particular EEG and EMG, and using machine learning to extract novel insights from these signals, providing alternatives to traditional systems in research and clinical settings. She is also developing innovative algorithms for robotic platforms in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) applications to improve their precision and efficiency in neuroscience and healthcare.
Filippo Ruffa is a research fellow at "Mediterranea" University of Reggio Calabria. He was born in Bologna in 1990. He received his Master’s
Degree in Electronic Engineering Magna cum Laude from the University of Calabria in September 2015 with a thesis titled "Analysis and Synthesis of an Energy Storage Management System for Stationary Storage and E-Mobility Applications". He obtained his Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the "Mediterranea" University of Reggio Calabria in April 2019 with a thesis titled "Analysis and Synthesis of an Innovative, Temperature Dependent Run-Time Model for the Performance Estimation of Batteries for Electric Traction Applications". He has been a member of the Italian Group of Electrical and Electronic Measurements (GMEE) since 2015.
Valerio Scordamaglia was born in Italy in 1977. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Automation Engineering from the University of Reggio Calabria, Italy, in 2008. Since 2010, he has been with the DIIES department of the University of Reggio Calabria, Italy, as a researcher. His current research interests include constrained predictive control, networked control systems, control under constraints, fault-tolerant systems, and fault detection and isolation algorithms.
