Maged El Osta works at the Faculty of Science—Damanhour University—as an Assistant Professor in the Geology Department. He completed his Ph.D. thesis in 2006 in the field of Hydrogeology. All of his studies have been conducted in the fields of water resources, evaluation, modeling, management, water quality, and contamination, with more than 15 years of experience. He has the ability to carry out the following activities: performing and analyzing pumping tests; designing groundwater observation nets; geologically surveying water points; groundwater studies (occurrence, aquifers, movement, and management, etc.); groundwater sampling and performing field measurements; analysis and evaluation of ground and surface water for different purposes (human use, agriculture, industrial, etc.); and the ability
to use the applications Surfer, Grapher, GWW, Arcview, Erdas Imagine, WATEQF, NETPATH, Feflow, and Modflow in the field of groundwater.
