Dr. Yang Yurong has been a lecturer at Henan Agricultural
University's Animal Husbandry and Medical Engineering College since July 2006.
She became an associate professor in 2009. She received her Bachelor's degree in
Veterinary medicine from Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University from
September 1996 to June 2000, her Master's degree in veterinary pathology from
Northeast Agricultural University from September 2000 to June 2003, and her
Doctor's degree in veterinary pathology from China Agricultural University from
September 2003 to June 2006. From September 2013 to September 2014, she was a
visiting scholar at the Dubey JP Fellow Animal Parasitic Disease Laboratory at
the USDA Agricultural Research Center. She is a veterinary pathologist in China
and has received two second prizes for provincial teaching achievements. In
recent years, she has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation
Project and the Scientific and Technological Innovation Talent Project of
universities in Henan Province, presided over and won one second prize of
Scientific and Technological Progress of Henan Province, and won one Outstanding
Contribution Award for Cooperative Research by the United States Department of
Agriculture. Five national invention patents with her participation were authorized. Her research
interests include veterinary pathologic diagnoses, pathogenesis of animal
diseases, control of meat-borne parasitic diseases, and animal nutrition and
pathology.
