Dr. Shriram Marathe is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Nitte (Deemed to be University), NMAM Institute of Technology (NMA-MIT). He earned his Ph.D. in Alkali-Activated Concrete Pavements from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, in 2021. Dr. Marathe has led multiple research projects and has published more than 120 research papers, including 40+ Scopus-indexed records. He is a life member of professional organizations such as the Indian Roads Congress (IRC), the Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS), the Institute of Engineers (India), the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), etc. His research interests include the application of alkali-activated (geo-polymer) concrete to pavements, the stabilization of sub-grade soil, pavement material characterization, and pavement design.
Dr. Murugan Muthu is a Research Scientist of Civil & Environmental Engineering in the Department of Materials Engineering and Construction Processes, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Anna University, and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Central Polytechnic College. He has also served as a Research Fellow at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and worked for over two years as an R&D Manager at Larsen & Toubro Construction. His research interests include low-carbon cements, concrete water filters, and nanoengineered cement composites.
