Prof. Dr. Wencong Lu is a Professor ofAgricultural
Economics at the School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University. He completed his
PhD studies in Agricultural Economics at the University of Kiel in Germany, and
has been awarded the First Prize of Zhejiang Provincial Outstanding
Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences, and Nomination for the China
Rural Development Research Award. He has published over one hundred academic
papers in domestic and international scholarly journals, of which over thirty
have been indexed by SCI and SSCI, and seven monographs have been published at
home and abroad. He was a visiting professor at Goettingen University, Kiel
University, Vienna University of Economics and Business, Copenhagen University,
and the German Federal Agricultural Research Centre (FAL) in Braunschweig. His
research topics mainly include: applied economics.
