Prof. Liyou Xu received a B.S. in Mechanical Manufacturing Technology and Equipment from the Jiaozuo Institute of Technology, Jiaozuo, China, in 1998; a M.S. in Vehicle Engineering from the Luoyang Institute of Technology, Luoyang, China, in 2018; and a Ph.D. in Vehicle Engineering from the Xi'an University of Technology, Xi'an, in 2007. Since 2013, he has been a professor at the College of Vehicle and Traffic Engineering, Henan University of Science and Technology, Luoyang, China. He has won the Henan Province Science and Technology Progress Award (first prize once and second prize twice), the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award (first prize once and second prize once), the Luoyang Science and Technology Progress Award (first prize), and the Science and Technology Achievement Award of the Henan Provincial Department of Education (first prize twice). He has published five academic works and textbooks and has 36 national patents. His research interests include new transmission theory and control technology, vehicle performance analysis methods and simulation technology, and low-speed electric vehicle transmission technology.
