Amrita Milling is a civil engineering PhD candidate at Queen’s University Belfast. Her current research focuses on the structural performance of basalt textile-reinforced mortar (BTRM) retrofitting composites under extreme loading conditions. Amrita is an active member of several professional organizations, including The International Institute of FRP in Construction (IIFC) and The Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), where she is a student member. She is also a graduate member of the International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems, and Structures (RILEM) and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Her research topics mainly include sustainable materials, TRM, FRCM, dynamics, high temperatures, the digital image correlation technique, and impact testing.
