Prof. Dr. Maohua Zhang received a B.Sc. degree from Yantai University in 1999, a M.Sc. degree from Chang'an University in 2002, and a Ph.D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2007. Since 2002, she has been working in the School of Civil Engineering at Northeast Forestry University as a Teaching Assistant, Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Master Supervisor. From 2008 to 2012, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Mechanics Postdoctoral Station of Harbin Institute of Technology. From 2016 to 2017, she was a visiting scholar in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana, Champaign, USA. She is mainly engaged in research in the fields of high-performance composite materials and their durability, earthquake resistance of reinforced concrete structures, soft soil foundation treatment, and disaster prevention and mitigation of geotechnical and underground engineering.
