Author Biographies

Peng Huang obtained a Bachelor's degree in Automation from Ocean University of China in 2022. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research interests include infrared image processing, object recognition, and deep learning. Peng has participated in numerous scientific research projects focused on deep learning algorithms, with a primary focus on object recognition within infrared imagery.
Yan Yin is a Doctoral student at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. During his Master's program, his primary research areas were deep reinforcement learning and robotics, with his work being published in SCI journals such as Expert Systems with Applications and Sensors. Currently, Yan's research interests during his doctoral studies are focused on image segmentation and the detection of weak infrared targets.
Kaifeng Hu received a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, and Automation from Jianghan University in 2019 and his Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2022. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research interests include signal processing and object tracking, with a primary focus on the detection, recognition, and tracking of small objects using multi-modal information fusion.
Prof. Weidong Yang currently holds a professorship at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He graduated with a degree in Industrial Electrical Automation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1997. Professor Yang furthered his academic pursuits at HUST, earning both his Master's degree in 2000 and his Doctorate in 2005, with a focus on Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems. Since 2006, he has been teaching at HUST, during which time, he has been awarded First Prize for Technical Invention by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Second Prize for Technical Invention by the National Defense Science and Technology Commission. As a leading researcher in aerospace science and technology, Prof. Yang boasts an extensive portfolio of dozens of invention patents and scholarly publications.
