I, Zukisani Gomomo, am a doctoral student at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and
the Agricultural Research Council (ARC), with a master’s degree in agriculture, completed in 2022, and a BTech in agriculture from CPUT (2019). I have experience in the fields of plant protection, plant pathology, and microbiology, where I have focused on developing sustainable crop protection methods. Currently, my research explores the biocontrol potential of non-Saccharomyces yeasts, plant–microbe interactions, and the biological control of post-harvest diseases. As a candidate natural scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNSP), I am committed to advancing sustainable agriculture and innovative biological control strategies.
