Sanja Simonović Alfirević is a Senior
Research Fellow at the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial
Planning of Serbia (IAUS). She graduated in 2006 and completed her PhD in 2016,
both at the University of Belgrade–Faculty of Architecture. Between 2005 and
2007, she served as a teaching assistant at the Faculty, and from 2007 to 2012,
she held a Research–PhD Scholar position in IAUS, funded by the Ministry of
Education, Science, and Technological Development of Serbia. Since 2013, she
has been continuously employed at IAUS. Her research interests include architecture,
architectural design, theory and history of architecture, architecture and
urban studies, urbanism, and art and design history. Since 2020, she has been a Technical Editor of the Arhitektura i
urbanizam
journal published by IAUS. Additionally,
she serves on the Editorial Board of the Arhitektura
i urbanizam journal (since 2016) and the Publishing Council of IAUS
(since 2015). She is a member of the Association of Belgrade Architects (ABA), the Union of Architects of Serbia (UAS), and the Serbian Chamber of Engineers
(SCE). She received
numerous national and international awards for her work in architectural and
urban design projects and competitions.
Tijana
Crnčević is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of
Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia (IAUS). She completed a PhD in Environmental
Management in 2007 at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. At the School of
Planning, Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom in 1995, she obtained an MSc in
Environmental Assessment and Management. In 1992, she graduated at the Department of Landscape Architecture, Forestry Faculty, University of
Belgrade, Serbia (graduate engineer of forestry, specialist in landscape
architecture). Her specific research
interests include sustainable landscape planning and design, environmental
management (SEA and EIA), climate change, and environmental policy and practice. She is a member of
Editorial Board of the international
scientific journal Spatium, published
by IAUS (since 2003), and of the Editorial Advisory Board of International Journal of Climate Change
Strategies and Management, Emerald
Publishing.
Since 2015, she has been a member of the Publishing Council of IAUS. For her professional and
scientific work and achievements, she has received national and international
recognitions and awards.
Katarina Majhenšek
is a Senior Expert
Associate at the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of
Serbia (IAUS). Since 2017, she has been attending Doctoral studies at the
University of Belgrade–Faculty of Geography–Geosciences. She graduated in
2003 at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Architecture. Between
2003 and 2006, she was employed at
the JP Directorate for Building Land, Planning and Construction in Lazarevac,
Serbia. From 2006 to 2013, she gained professional
experience in a Russian company Novy Gorod-SKD, City of Sochi, where she
was engaged in the development of urban plans, architectural and construction projects,
and as an architectural supervisor on the construction site. From 2014 to 2018,
she cooperated with the Australian company Fieldwork
from Melbourne, and was engaged in digitalization and 3D modeling in urban and
architectural design. She started professional engagement at IAUS in 2017. Her
specific research interests include Information and Communication Technologies
(ICT) in the field of architectural design and urban planning. She is a member
of the Association of Belgrade Architects (ABA), the Union of Architects of
Serbia (UAS), and the Serbian Chamber of Engineers (SCE). She
received national and international awards for her professional and scientific achievements.
