Katarzyna Boratyńska is an Associate Professor at the Department of Finance, Institute of Economics and Finance at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences—SGGW in Poland. She earned her post-doctoral degree (habil.) in economics and finance at the Institute of Economics and Finance at the Warsaw
University of Life Sciences—SGGW. She has been working at WULS-SGGW since 2005. She completed PhD study at WULS-SGGW in 2001 to 2005. Her work focuses on green finance, food security research, and corporate bankruptcy in agribusiness. She participated in the Globalization Trendlab at the University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School of Business (Philadelphia, USA). She served a scientific internship at the University of Strathclyde, Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow in the UK, and a scientific apprenticeship at the Centre for Insolvency Studies, Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw, Poland. She has also participated in short-term internships abroad (Austria and Croatia) and international conferences (including Spain and Portugal). She is a Reviewer in international journals, including Oeconomia Copernicana, Financial Innovation, and Sustainability. She has been a member of the Polish Economic Society. She received WULS-SGGW Rector’s awards for didactic and scientific achievements (2020, 2017, 2013, 2009). In 2015, she was acknowledged for contributing to the Global Innovation and Knowledge Academy.
