Sylvia Goedeke is a New Zealand-based Registered Dietitian and a Lecturer at the School of Sport and Recreation, Auckland University of Technology. She graduated from Massey University and received her B.Sc. in Human Nutrition and Physiology and her M.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics (first-class honors). She obtained her Ph.D. from Auckland University of Technology, which focused on nutrition and metabolic health during pregnancy. She continues to be a practicing dietitian.
Caryn Zinn is a Professor in the School of Sport and Recreation, Auckland University of Technology, and the Co-Director of the Sports Performance Research Institute New Zealand (SPRINZ). After graduating as a dietitian in Cape Town, South Africa, she relocated to New Zealand, where she worked as a Public Health Dietitian, before entering academia and undertaking her master's (2004) and Ph.D. qualifications (2012). Her research focus is on the application of whole-food carbohydrate-reduction nutrition therapy in relation to metabolic health and sports performance. She continues to be a practicing dietitian.
