Prof. Giorgos Paradisis is a Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece. Before joining the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, he worked as a Senior Lecturer at the University Wales Institute, Cardiff, UK (1997–2000), and Leeds Beckett University, Leeds, UK (2000–2001). Prof. Paradisis obtained his B.Sc. in Physical Education and Sports Science from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, his M.Sc. in Sports Coaching from the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, UK, and his Ph.D. in Sports Training from Leeds Beckett University, Leeds, UK, in 1998. He also received a postgraduate diploma in Distance learning from Greek Open University in 2001. His research interests include physiological and biomechanical adaptations of training; kinematical and kinetic characteristics of human movements; and physical activity and health.
