Dr. Ahmet Fatih Tabak received his B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering in 2005, his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2007, and his Ph.D. in Mechatronics in 2012 from Sabanci University. He was a post-doctoral fellow with the Department of Physical Intelligence at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Stuttgart Site, for three years (2014–2017). He was faculty with different universities in Türkiye: Istanbul Ticaret University (2012–2014), Bahcesehir University (2018–2020), and Kadir Has University (2020-2023). As of 2022, he is a tenured professor of Biomedical Engineering, with a special focus on Robotics. He is now with the Faculty of Engineering at Istanbul Ticaret University, again. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), and Max Planck Alumni Association. He is also a committee member of International Conference on Manipulation, Automation and Robotics at Small Scales (MARSS). His research interests are biomedical robotics and sensors, biofluids, mechanobiology, and bio/mechatronics system design.
