Prof. Dr. Qiubai Li is the director of the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, Union
Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He holds positions as a Professor/Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, and Postdoctoral Co-Supervisor. Additionally, he has been appointed as the Chief Scientist of National Key Research and Development Program for the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Director of Hubei Engineering Research Center for Translational Application of Extracellular Vesicles. Furthermore, he is a member of prestigious academic societies such as the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEVs) and American Society of Hematology (ASH). Prof. Li's team represents one of the pioneering groups that has been delving into the reversal of multi-tissue aging and age-related degeneration via human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells and their extracellular vesicles (EVs), and made contributions to the advancement of scientific theory and
clinical translation of EV research. Notably, Prof. Li has published nearly 40 SCI papers in renowned journals including Sci. Transl. Med., ACS Nano, Nucleic Acids Res., Leukemia, and Theranostics as the first or corresponding author. He has won the first Prize of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress in both 2012 and 2022, as well as the Advanced Scientific Research Individual Award of National Key Disciplines.
Prof. Dr. Zhichao Chen is a Professor/Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, and Postdoctoral
Co-Supervisor of the Institute of Hematology, Union Hospital, Tongji Medical
College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In addition, he is a
member of multiple learned societies including the blood immunology branch of the Chinese Society for
Immunology, Translational Medicine Committee of Hemopathy of CHINA ANTI-CANCER
ASSOCIATION (CACA), and Special Committee of Precision Diagnosis and Treatment
of Hematologic Diseases of China Association of Research Hospitals. He dedicates
himself to basic research and clinical work on hematological diseases, and he
persistently focuses on the biological characteristics of extracellular
vesicles derived from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells and their
translational application. He has authored over 40 publications in Sci.
Transl. Med., ACS Nano, Nature Communication, Leukemia, Theranostics, and other
SCI journals as the first or corresponding author. In addition, he has
been recognized with numerous awards and honors including the First Prize
of Hubei Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress in 2020, and the
Second Prize of Ministry of Education Higher Educational Institutions
Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research in Natural Sciences in 2021.
