Dr. Antiño R. Allen is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He graduated from Jackson State University in with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Animal Behavior and Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior, respectively, from Indiana University. Dr. Allen obtained postdoctoral training at the Brain and Spinal Injury Center, University of California, San Francisco. His research examines how inflammation and oxidative stress affect neuronal anatomy and cognitive function after exposure to X-rays, heavy-ion irradiation, or chemotherapy injury.
