Prof. Zhengxing Guo currently serves as the Dean of
the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering at Southeast University. He
received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Civil Architecture from
Southeast University (Nanjing Institute of Technology) in 1982 and his master’s
degree in Structural Engineering from Southeast University in 1988. From June 1988
to December 1989, he studied at the Aichi Institute of Technology, Japan. Furthermore,
he also serves as the executive director of the Building Construction Branch of
the Architectural Society of China, the director of the Building Construction
Discipline Research Association of National Colleges and Universities of the
Architectural Society of China and an editorial board member of the Journal of
Construction Technology. He was honored with the second prize of the 2010
National Science and Technology Progress Award and the first prize of the 2017
Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award. Her research topics mainly
include the integration of design and construction of new structures, space
pre-stressed steel structure construction technology, and construction
technology for large and complex projects, such as house buildings, bridges and
utilization of urban underground space.
