Author Biographies

Eduardo Sandoval Álamos is currently an associate professor in the Department of Industries at the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana located in Santiago, Chile. Dr. Sandoval graduated in commercial engineering from the University of Santiago, Chile, has a master's degree in Finance from the University of Chile and a Ph.D. in International Business (magna cum laude) from the University of Texas Pan American, USA. He has been a professor and researcher of Finance in Chile and abroad, at the following universities: University of Santiago, Chile, Universidad de Talca, Universidad Alberto Hurtado, Universidad de Concepción, Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico, Universidad San Ignacio Loyola in Peru, Universidad Americana in Paraguay, and the University of Texas Pan American in the USA. He has had more than 30 articles published in WOS, SCOPUS, SCIELO, and EBSCO journals such as Trimestre Económico, Journal of Applied Business Research, The International Journal of Business and Finance Research, The Global Journal of Business Research, Cuadernos de Economía (Chile), Cuadernos de Economía (Colombia), Innovar (Colombia), and The Journal of Globalization, Competitiveness and Governability (Georgetown University, USA). Dr. Sandoval has been awarded with Outstanding Research Awards from 2008 to 2016 from the Global International Business and Finance Conference.
Professor Claudio Molina MacKay is currently an associate professor in the Department of Accounting and Financial Management at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the Metropolitan Technological University located in Santiago, Chile. Mr. Molina MacKay is a graduate of Commercial Engineering from the University of Chile and has a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Chile. He has been a professor at the University of Chile, Universidad de Santiago, Universidad de Los Lagos, Universidad de Talca, and Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana. He has published articles in journals supported by the Metropolitan Technological University–Faculty of Business and Economics and also in other indexed journals. His research is in the field of Financial Economics.
Mr.Erwin Octavio Taipe Aquino currently works as a financial analyst in a construction company in Santiago, Chile. Erwin is a Civil Industrial Engineer who graduated from the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana and has a diploma in Interpersonal Competencies from the same university. He was a teaching assistant in the subjects of Financial Analysis and Project Formulation and Evaluation. In his last years as a student, he was part of two programs at the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana, the first called PACE (Student Accompaniment Program), in which he served as an academic tutor and provided social and academic support to 10 first-year students. At the end of his university stage, he was a teacher's assistant for two versions of the UTEM Propedeutic Program, a program that is implemented in priority schools by the Chilean Ministry of Education and is aimed at students with the best academic performance in these establishments, seeking to promote equity in access to university education, as well as consolidate a permanent admission system for talented students.
