Dr. Elsaid Mamdouh Mahmoud Zahran is currently an Assistant Professor in Geospatial Engineering at the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK, after obtaining Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt. Dr. Zahran has previously served as an Associate Professor at Ain Shams University, Egypt, and as Deputy Director of the Centre for Transport Research at Universiti Teknologi Brunei, among other academic roles in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. His research interests include road traffic safety, geographic information science, and pavement engineering, and his work has been recognized with awards such as the Cambridge Certificate for Outstanding Professional Achievement in Teaching and Research. Dr. Zahran is also a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Engineering Council in the UK, and he holds chartered engineer status in Egypt. He has published numerous papers in his field and regularly participates as a technical committee member for international conferences on highway and traffic engineering.
