Dr. Carl Nelson is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln since 2005. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Carl Nelson is a fellow of ASME and a senior member of the National Academy of Inventors. His research has addressed themes blending mechanical design, robotics, medicine, rehabilitation, and assorted other topics with societal relevance.
