Dr. Lun Hua is a Lecturer at the Animal Nutrition Institute
at Sichuan Agricultural University. He received his BS in Animal Science from
Huazhong Agricultural University (2014) and his PhD in Animal Nutrition and
Feed Science & Pharmacology and Molecular Biology (jointly trained by
Sichuan Agricultural University and UT Southwestern Medical Center) in 2021. He
is currently in charge of over 10 national, provincial, ministerial, and
horizontal projects. He mainly conducts theoretical and technical research on
regulating vitamins and amino acids in pig follicle development, embryo
implantation, and placental development.
Prof. Zhengfeng Fang is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor
at the Animal Nutrition Institute at Sichuan Agricultural University. He is
also a Director of the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal
Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. He received his BS, MSc, and PhD in Animal
Nutrition and Feed Science from Huazhong Agricultural University. He has worked
at the Animal Nutrition Research Institute of Sichuan Agricultural University
since July 2008. He studied at the Children’s Nutrition Research Center of
Baylor College of Medicine in the United States (January to December 2014). His
teaching disciplines include Animal Nutrition, Progress in Animal Nutrition
Research, and Advanced Animal Nutrition. He has been engaged in research on
amino acid and lipid metabolism and pig fetal survival, mammary gland
development, and lactation regulation for a long time.
Prof. Lianqiang Che is a Professor and Deputy Director of the
Animal Nutrition Institute at Sichuan Agricultural University. He is also a
Member of the Swine Nutrition Branch of the National Animal Nutrition Steering
Committee and a Senior Member of the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinese
Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. He received his MSc from
Sichuan Agricultural University (2005) and his PhD (2010) (jointly trained by
Sichuan Agricultural University and the University of Copenhagen, Denmark).
From August 2010 to August 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the
University of Antwerp, Belgium. He has won the second prize of the Ministry of
Science and Technology's Social Power Dabeinong Scientific and Technological
Achievement Award, the second prize of the National Science and Technology
Progress Award, and the first prize of the Sichuan Provincial Science and
Technology Progress Award. His research areas are maternal nutrition and
offspring health, neonatal piglet nutrition, and health.
Dr. Shengyu Xu is an Associate Professor at the Animal
Nutrition Institute at Sichuan Agricultural University. She is also a Member of
the Animal Nutrition and Feed Science Branch of Sichuan Animal Husbandry and
Veterinary Society. She received her BS in Aquaculture (2005) from Sichuan
Agricultural University and her PhD in Animal Nutrition and Feed Science (2012)
(jointly trained by Sichuan Agricultural University and the University of
Guelph, Canada). Her research has won the Chengdu Science and Technology
Progress Award, Second Prize (2014), the Sichuan Science and Technology
Progress Award, Third Prize (2015), and the Sichuan Science and Technology
Progress Award, First Prize (2020). She is engaged in research and teaching in
animal nutrition and feed science, with her main research interests being the
nutrition and reproductive physiology of pigs.
Prof. De Wu is a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor,
Doctoral Supervisor, and President of Sichuan Agricultural University. He is
also a Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political
Consultative Conference, a Member of the Central Committee of the China
Democratic League, a Member of the Agriculture and Forestry Department of the
Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, and a Director
of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. He received
his BS in Animal Husbandry (1991), his MSc (1997), and PhD (2003) in Animal
Nutrition and Feed Science from Sichuan Agricultural University. He is also a
Candidate for the National Hundred Thousand Talents Project, a Young and
Middle-Aged Expert with outstanding contributions to China, and an Academic and
Technical Leader in Sichuan Province. He enjoys the Government Subsidy from the
State Council. He is mainly engaged in pig reproductive nutrition science
research and talent training.
Dr. Yong Zhuo is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Swine Nutrition Laboratory at the Animal Nutrition Institute at Sichuan Agricultural University. He received his BS in Animal Nutrition and Feed Engineering (2007), his MSc (2010), and PhD (2018) in Animal Nutrition and Feed Science from Sichuan Agricultural University. His research won the first prize in the Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award (2020). His main research directions include using livestock or transgenic animals as models to explore the mechanism of nutritional metabolism regulation, animal reproduction, the nutritional value of sow feed, and the creation of new feed resources.
