Author Biographies

Marios Andreou is a Mathematics PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a research assistant in Prof. Nan Chen's research group. He holds a BSc degree in Mathematics and Statistics with a focus in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cyprus. His research interests lie in the intersection of Applied and Computational Mathematics, in particular dealing with dynamical systems arising in Fluid Mechanics, Nonlinear Geophysics and Climate Science, which involve solving and analyzing PDEs and SPDEs. He is also interested in topics in Applied and Theoretical Statistics like information theory, data assimilation, uncertainty quantification, machine and deep learning, and optimization problems.
