Dr. Chao Wang earned his PhD in Hydraulic Engineering from Tianjin University in 2013, where he also earned his MS in 2010. He is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor in the Department of Hydraulic and Hydroelectric Engineering at Tianjin University. Dr. Wang’s research mainly covers risk analysis theories and intelligent evaluation methods for engineering structures, earthquake and explosion protection for hydraulic structures, and lifecycle performance and safety assessment of hydraulic structures. He actively engages in professional societies, holding memberships and leadership positions within the China Dam Engineering Society, China Hydropower Engineering Society, Yunnan Society of Soil Mechanics and Engineering, and the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization.
