Prof. Jun Meng graduated from Shenyang Agricultural University in 2005 with a PhD in crop science. From November 2010 to the present, he has served as a teacher, professor, and doctoral supervisor at the College of Agriculture, Shenyang Agricultural University. He is currently the director of the Biochar Engineering Technology Research Center of Shenyang Agricultural University, a member of the academic committee of the school, a leader in the academic direction of crop science discipline farming system principles and biochar technology, a post scientist in the national rice industry technology system, a member of the ninth fertilizer registration session of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, a member of the expert group on comprehensive utilization of straw technology of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the chief expert of the Liaoning Province Biochar Industry Technology Innovation Team. He is engaged in the research of theory and technology of biochar and straw carbonization and returns to the field. He has presided over 23 projects of various levels and types, including the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation, published more than 50 papers, and obtained 8 invention patents and 2 software copyrights.
