Colleen M. Davison came to Queen’s University in 2011 following a CIHR-funded postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Population Health, University of Ottawa. She is a PhD-trained Social Epidemiologist and Global Population Health Researcher who has a tenured appointment in the Department of Public Health Sciences, with cross-appointment in the Department of Global Development Studies. In 2012, she was recognized as an outstanding Emerging Researcher from the Population Health Improvement Research Network in Ontario. In 2021, she was appointed the inaugural Associate Dean for Equity and Social Accountability at Queen’s Health Sciences. Her overarching research interests are in global child and adolescent health including issues of child and family health equity, social justice and public health, child protection, and child rights.
