Dr. Maria Koushiou is a Licensed Clinician, a School Psychologist, and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Nicosia. She completed her B.A. studies in Psychology at the University of Cyprus (2006), M.A. studies in School Psychology at the University of Cyprus (2009), and PhD studies in Clinical Psychology at the University of Cyprus (2016). After the completion of her PhD, she worked as an associate lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire (Cyprus Campus). Her research interests include examining emotion regulation in children and adolescents with eating and anxiety disorders as well as with chronic health conditions such as congenital heart disease.
Prof. Nuno Ferreira is a Professor of Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Nicosia. He completed his PhD studies in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Edinburgh (2011). After the completion of his PhD, he worked in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Edinburgh as a Lecturer and Senior Teaching Fellow of post-graduate courses (MSc and Doctoral), and he also worked in several services across Edinburgh in clinical capacities. His areas of interest include Chronic Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, Emotion, Emotion Regulation, Alexithymia, PTSD, Eating Disorders, Burnout, and E-Learning.
