Su Chen received his bachelor’s in Biological Sciences, master’s in Genetics, and Ph.D. in Forest Genetic Breeding, all from Northeast Forestry University, in 2006, 2009, and 2012, respectively, and then completed his postdoctoral research at the same university from 2012 to 2017. He also served as a visiting scholar at the School of Forest Resources and Environment, Michigan Technological University (2014–2015), and has been a professor at the State Key Laboratory of Tree Genetics and Breeding, Northeast Forestry University since 2022. He is mainly engaged in research on forest genomics and molecular breeding of forest trees.
