Dr. Lavinia Lupa is an Associate Professor at the Politehnica University of Timisoara. She received a Ph.D. from Politehnica University of Timisoara in 2007. She served as an Assistant (2003–2015), and a Lecturer (2015–2020) at the Politehnica University of Timisoara. Her research interests include water and waste water treatment through advanced methods (adsorption, photocatalysis, and membrane separations), recovery of useful substances from different wastes, and synthesis, characterization, and application of various materials functionalized with ionic liquids.
